On Sunday March 3rd Matt Vella took 3rd place at the Boston Brazilian Jiu-jitsu Open tournament. The Boston Open is one of the top tournaments in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu that is recognize by the International Brazilian Jiu-jitsu Fedration(IBJJF).

Some of the best BJJ players set there sights on Boston to complete against some of the best in there class.

Matt Vella competed in the Blue Belt Feather Weight division which was stacked full of great talent. Matt defeated his first opponent in a dominating performance 8-0, his second opponent by kimura and his third opponent 8-6.

With the dedication Matt puts into his training there is definitely more medals to come!
