The feature student in this edition of Top Flight Student Spotlight is an awesome 3rd grader from Church Creek Elementary School named Dylan Pierce.
Not only is Dylan a dedicated Martial artist that trains six days out of the week (twice on Saturday) but he is also a Honor roll student that takes his studies serious as well. But what makes Dylan such an awesome kids his never give up mindset, as young Brazilian Jiu-jitsu (BJJ) competitor Dylan lost his first two grappling tournaments.
Instead of Dylan giving up and quitting as some many kids his age do, he continued to come in everyday and hard work with a smile on his face. Well on this past Saturday, February 7th 2015 Dylan finally broke through and won his first tournament, winning Beginner GI and No-GI Kids Division. All Dylan’s hard work and positive attitude paid off, and we here at Top Flight are excited to see how far Dylan can go as he continues his Martial Arts training.
