This past Saturday March 23rd in Harrington, Delaware; was a great night of Amateur Mixed Martial Arts. The promotion Stellar Fights put on an exciting Night of MMA fights that featured Top Flight’s own James Williams and Steve Eilola.
James Williams was making his second appearance in the cage. Coming off of his 27second KO in his MMA debut James was excited to get back in the cage. James was the 3rd fight on the card fighting at light heavyweight, James walk to the ring calm and confident and ready for a battle.
And with a straight jab that hit right on the button James finish the match in 9seconds. With that exciting Knockout finish, James earned KO Of The 
Night honors and a possible shot at the Light-Heavyweight Title.
The nights main event featured Steve Eliola fighting for a shot at the Stellar Fights Welterweight Title. Steve already knew that this fight wouldn’t be easy, fighting arguable his toughest opponent in his young Amateur MMA career. But Steve was up for the challenge, having already won 2 straight match via submission Steve was more than ready to duplicate the same success.
As soon as the fight started Steve showed off some of his striking ability, landing some awesome shots to the body of his opponent. But what ultimately was the difference maker was Steve ground game. Steve was able to takedown his opponent and control him on the ground, with submission attempts and ground pound. In the 3rd round Steve used a beautiful double leg takedown to get his opponent on the ground and finish the match with a rear naked choke.
This night was another great night MMA fighting and I am truly proud of these 2 young fighters. The dedication they put into their MMA training is un-rivaled and I’m excited to see both of them in the cage again!!!
