Saturday, January 12th members of the Top Flight Master Club, Teen Competition team and the adult BJJ competition team competed in The Good Fights BJJ Tournament in Baltimore, MD at the Du Burns Arena. The Tournament started off with the kids/teen intermediate GI division, where Jordan Stewart, Josh Small, Diedrick Smith, and Jayden Harris took first place, Justin Gue took second and Erik Lee took third in there brackets. After the intermediates was the beginner Kids Gi division where Jeremy Bandy was making his grappling debut and he came out with a bang winning first place.

Once the GI division was over it was right back to work with the No-Gi intermediate. In the intermediate division Justin Gue and Diedrick Smith took first, and Jordan Stewart, Jzontaya Stewart, Jayden Harris took second. And in the beginner division Jeremy Bandy took second place. In recap the Master club & Teens racked up 7 gold Medals, 4 sliver medals and 1 bronze medal; I don’t know about you but I call this a very successful tournament and proud of how hard all these young competitor competed.

Not to forget the adults BJJ competitors, Matt Vella in the blue belt light divison taking second place in Gi and 1st place in advance light division. Brian Blanchard in the White belt middle division taking 1st place in gi and second place in no-gi. And Jeremy Gatson in the executive No-gi beginner division taking second place, they help Team Lloyd Irvin win overall adults.
